BABCO ELECTRIC GROUP designs, manufactures and tests Metal Clad Switchgear in the voltage range from 2.4 KV to 36 KV with maximum nominal interrupting capacities of 140 MVA to 1500 MVA dependant upon the voltage and current break capacity of the breakers. The switchgear is available with either vacuum or SF6 circuit breakers. All features specified by the applicable standards are incorporated into the switchgear to ensure that the switchgear is safe and reliable to operate, easily installed and maintained. The switchgear is available both as an indoor or outdoor design. Typical applications for the switchgear are:

•		TWO HIGH SWITCHGEAR Two high vacuum or SF6 switchgear manufactured to the utility specifications: 90" or 100" high to accommodate all necessary protection and control relaying, potential and current transformers.

•		AUTOTRANSFORMER START SWITCHGEAR 14000 HP Medium Voltage Autotransformer Start Switchgear. Different Horsepowers could use open or closed transition.

•		OUTDOOR PAD MOUNTED SWITCHGEAR BABCO manufactures metal clad outdoor padmount switchgear 5 KV to 36 KV - 4000 Amp - 1500 MVA. All cells are insulated and thermostatically controlled. Can be top fed with roof top bushings.
